The Master Cleanse Secrets manual by Raylen Sterling is all about the infamous ‘Master Cleanse’ system created by Stanley Burroughs in 1941. It is also known as the ‘Lemonde Cleanser’, the ‘Lemonade diet’ and the ‘Maple Syrup Diet’ due to the fact that the diet consists of you eating nothing solid for a period of 10 days and just drinking a concoction of lemonade, maple syrup and cayenne pepper.
Now I want to say now that I am not too sure about the ‘Master Cleanse’ itself as I am not sure what drinking maple syrup will do your blood sugar levels etc over that period of time, but I know lots of people swear by it and do it all the time.
However, this is a review of the product not the original system so I’ll put my fears about that to one side for the moment. Ok so the product is a 109 page digital guide and you might be quite shocked when you unzip it to find there is just the one guide… when on the salespage it says there are 4… that is because they have all been joined together into the one pdf!
The guide starts off by introducing you to the Master Cleanse system, the benefits of it and what you will need including things he has used when he does it to cut out some of the worst parts of it (like hunger pangs), he makes money from all those recommendations though so it leaves you kind of wandering if using normal water really is really that bad, or if he just wants you to buy that water filter and make him some money… so don’t feel forced into buying any of the extra stuff unless it makes sense to you and you really want it.
Then he tells you what to expect which is good, so you know if it is normal or not when you experience certain things. He takes you through a typical day, gives you pointers on how to do everything and the best way to maximise yoru chances of sticking to the cleanse for the full length of time.
He also gives you a 3 day routine to help you ease into the cleanse rather than jumping in straight away and maybe finding it too much too soon, as well as giving you a routine to gently come out of the cleanse, all based on his experiences when doing it.
He talks about the side effects of the cleanse and how to overcome some of them, and also discusses how to properly use it for weight loss as most people just stay on it for long periods of time to lose weight which can be unhealthy.
Then there is another guide which is like a mini-cleanse to keep your 4 main purification systems working well so that you can do to keep your body in tip top condition all year round. Then there is a guide on why tap water might be bad for you and what you can do about it, and finally a success journal that helps you keep track of what you have been drinking on the cleanse so you don’t miss anything.
We purchased the upgrade and the 3 guides you get are ok, nothing really great and we wouldn’t purchase them if we had to make the choice again.
But the Master Cleanse Secrets guide does exactly what it is supposed to do, it gives you his insights into the cleanse, what to expect, how to make sure you stick to it and how to get the most out of it along with tips he has picked up to make it easier.
Also – if you sign up to receive his emails after you purchase you get a copy of ‘After the Master Cleanse’ for free which was a nice surprise. It is a short 11 page book that talks about how to eat healthily after the cleanse, and talks about the healthy diet he follows to stay slim and healthy.
